The Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF) has pledged its commitment to improve livelihoods of the vulnerable people with much emphasise children.

The commitment was made during the ministry’s two day retreat at Sports View Hotel.

The retreat attracted participants from the ministry, development partners, Non Governmental Organisations (NGO’s) and public institutions.

The forum mainly dealt with evaluating achievements registered in the last year and make recommendations for the New Year.

Speaking at the retreat, Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Jeanne d’Arc Mujawamariya said that a lot of progress has been recorded by the Ministry in the area of advocating for improvement of the welfare of the vulnerable people.

Participants were encouraged to initiate programmes that empower women to participate in the socio-economic and political development of Rwanda.
