East African University Rwanda (EAUR) in collaboration with the University of Alicante (Spain), University of Macedonia (Greece), the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), University of Rwanda (UR), the National Council of People with Disabilities(NCPD), INES-Ruhengeri and Uwezo Youth Empowerment held a 2 days Final National Conference of the ANSWER Project under the theme "Ready to Move Forward," on 17th-18th December 2025 at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition village commonly known as Camp Kigali.
The conference highlighted the achievements and impact of Advance Inclusion for Students with Disabilities on Higher Education in Rwanda.
ANSWER Project is a three-year initiative (March 2023–February 2026) project funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Commission. It seeks to equip Rwandan higher education stakeholders with the essential knowledge, skills, capacities, and technology needed to bridge the gap between policy and implementation concerning inclusion, accessibility, and disability.
The conference brought together HLIs, policymakers, NGOs, and private sector partners to strengthen commitments to disability inclusion and share best practices for supporting students with disabilities (SWDs) in their academic and career journeys.
We are thankful to all participants who demonstrate strong commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable educational landscape in Rwanda.
