AS Kigali 0-0 Gicumbi

Gorilla FC 1-2 Rayon Sports

Defender Emery Bayisenge and midfielder Richard Ndayishimiye scored in either half to help Rayon Sports snatch all three points in 2-1 win over Gorilla FC on Friday at Kigali Pelé Stadium.

The win moved the Blues to third place on Rwanda Premier League table with 20 points, six behind league leaders Police FC.

Bayisenge successfully fired a free kick into the net to give Rayon Sports the lead but the visitors’ joy was short-lived as Gorilla FC responded through Franck Nduwimana who equalized in the 35th minute as the pair headed into halftime tied at 1-1.

Rayon returned in the second half looking more aggressive and their attacking pressure paid off as Ndayishimiye buried the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-1.

The victory helped Rayon Sports take fourth place with 20 points from 12 games. Gorilla FC remained in 10th place with 15 points.

In another match, AS Kigali drew 0-0 with Bugesera FC.

Action returns on Saturday when Amagaju FC host Mukura VS in Huye at Stade Kamena on Saturday, in a match that will mark the 90th anniversary for the home side.
