The Equity Market

The Rwanda OTC Market was quiet yesterday as no transactions were reported. On the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) a total of 207,700 KCB shares were traded on Monday 11th January 2010. KCB shares traded between Ksh20.75 (Rwf157.49) and Ksh20.25 (Rfw153.69) to close flat at Ksh20.50 (Rfw159. 59).

The NSE all share indexes closed up 0.82 points to close at 74.67. 

The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange and the Uganda Securities Exchange did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market

No transaction was recorded on ROTC market.  At the close of the business, Rwf2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf2 billion and Rwf5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf150 million on offer at Rwf100.50.
