After an impressive three months on streaming platforms, Rwandan musicians Kivumbi King and Mike Kayihura are set to translate their digital success into an unforgettable live experience.
The duo will officially launch their joint EP 'Installation' on December 13 at Kigali Universe located on CHIC rooftop in downtown.

Released on streaming platforms on August 1, ‘Installation’ comprises five tracts namely Mama, Closer, Maria, Kill Them with Love and Somebody Else. Their upcoming live show marks a milestone in what has already proven to be one of the most successful musical collaborations of 2025.
Leading the charts on the EP is Mama which has amassed more than 200,000 plays so far, followed by Closer with over 90,000 plays. The EP's remaining tracks—Maria, Kill Them with Love, and Somebody Else—have collectively added over 200,000 more plays, demonstrating the project's broad appeal.
The visual component has been equally impressive. Music videos for Mama and Closer have cultivated approximately 2,000,000 and over 100,000 YouTube views respectively.

For Mike Kayihura, "'Installation' represents more than just another release but a powerful comeback” in the game after spending two years off the spotlight due to a contract that restricted him from releasing solo music.
Until the EP was released, Mike Kayihura had last released a song independently in August 2021 with Tuza, a breakthrough single that garnered international attention.
The collaboration with Kivumbi King has effectively reintroduced Kayihura to fans who have eagerly awaited new material.
The concert promises to be a celebration of the successful partnership between the two artistes. Tickets are up for grabs, with presale seats available for booking at Rwf10,000 and general access at Rwf20,000. VIP tickets range from Rwf30,000 to Rwf40,000, while table packages go for Rwf150,000 and Rwf250,000.
As the streaming numbers continue to climb and anticipation builds, 'Installation' is poised to become one of the defining musical moments of 2025.
