Amagaju 1-2 Rutsiro

Burundian winger Jean Claude Girumugisha scored a superb hat-trick to inspire Al Hilal SC to a 3–1 victory over Bugesera FC at Kigali Pelé Stadium on Thursday, December 11.

The win extends Al Hilal’s unbeaten run in the Rwanda Premier League, with three victories and one draw from their four matches so far.

Girumugisha opened the scoring in the first minute before adding two more goals in the 65th and 75th minutes to complete his hat-trick.

Saddick Sulley scored the consolation goal for the visitors in the 67th minute, but the Sudanese giants held firm to secure all three points.

Al Hilal have now climbed to 13th place with 10 points, and with seven games in hand, winning them could potentially propel them to the top of the table.

Bugesera, meanwhile, face a tough challenge as they look to bounce back when they host Rayon Sports in Nyamata on Sunday, December 14.

Elsewhere, Rutsiro FC produced a spirited comeback to claim three crucial points with a hard-fought 2–1 away victory against Amagaju FC.

Desire Iradukunda put Amagaju ahead in the 8th minute, but Eric Kwizera equalised 14 minutes later, sending both sides into halftime level at 1–1 at Kamena Stadium.

Rutsiro completed the turnaround early in the second half when Jérémie Mbusa struck the winner in the 52nd minute.
