Editor,

It is good to see that bilateral relations between the two countries have fully been restored.

This is a sign that, after a long standoff, the leaders of both countries came to the realisation that finding solutions to the various issues was more important than remaining at loggerheads.

This is shows that what people share in common is more important than their peculiar differences. The appointment of ambassadors to both countries and the visits of high profile officials highlights the importance of the relationship of the two countries.

The restored relations will benefit business, education and cultural ties between the two countries.
