The Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA) has appointed François-Régis Gahuranyi as its new Executive Director.

Gahuranyi, who previously served as Executive Director of the Rwanda Cycling Federation (FERWACY), replaces Fionah Ishimwe, who held the position for the past three years.

Having played basketball in Rwanda and outside the country, Gahuranyi is not new to the sport. He played for several clubs throughout his career, beginning with National University of Rwanda (NUR) from 2007 to 2008. In 2009, he featured for Cercle Sportif de Kigali (CSK).
