Editor,

RECO (Rwanda Electricity Corporation) and RWASCO (Rwanda Water Sanitation Corporation) are public utilities for the production, transmission and distribution of electricity and water.

To save energy and preserve our environment, the companies have introduced on energy saving programme by availing incandescent fluorescent lamps to their customers.

We would like to express our appreciation to our loyal customers who came to get the lamps and proved their interest in a sustainable environment.

However, we have been informed through the Friday, 4th December 2009 edition of The New Times that the distribution service at our Muhima branch was unfair because of irresponsible behavior displayed by one of our company’s employee.

We, therefore, would like to convey our earnest thanks to the customer who reported this case. In any event when you are not served well by any of our technicians, we have displayed contact numbers of all managers at our branches for a quick assistance; this is because we are committed to giving a better service.

In addition, we would like to remind our customers that our call center is operational every day on the number 3535, and suggestions as well as complaints about our service are always welcomed.
