The Equity Market

Today no transactions were recorded on the Rwanda OTC market. Thursday, 24th December 2009, on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) a total of 153,800 KCB shares were traded. KCB shares traded between 21.00 Kshs (Rwf.157.71) and Kshs 20.50 (Rfw 153.95) to close flat at 20.75 Kshs (Rfw 155. 83).

The NSE all share indexes closed up 0.51 points to close at 71.27.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market

No transaction was recorded on ROTC market.  At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
