Tom Close denied US visa

He was expected to perform in Washington during the festive season for the Rwandan Diaspora, courtesy of Rwanda International Network Association (RINA), based in USA. However, Tom Close’s manager Alex Muyoboke confirmed that he was denied entry into the U.S. “Rwandan Embassy’s First Counselor, Michael  Rukata said the singer could not be granted an entry visa because he had applied for the tourist’s visa, instead of P-3 visa, a nonimmigrant visa issued to the foreign nationals who wish to enter into the U.S. to participate in a program that is culturally unique,” Muyoboke said.

He was expected to perform in Washington during the festive season for the Rwandan Diaspora, courtesy of Rwanda International Network Association (RINA), based in USA.

However, Tom Close’s manager Alex Muyoboke confirmed that he was denied entry into the U.S.

"Rwandan Embassy’s First Counselor, Michael  Rukata said the singer could not be granted an entry visa because he had applied for the tourist’s visa, instead of P-3 visa, a nonimmigrant visa issued to the foreign nationals who wish to enter into the U.S. to participate in a program that is culturally unique,” Muyoboke said.

Tom’s trip has been postponed for March next year.
"The incident hasn’t affected him a lot. As a matter of fact, he is busy working on his new songs,” Muyoboke said.

The "Sibeza” singer has just completed his "Garuka” track, produced by Bridge Records and a video clip "Sinzigera nkureka”, which featured on the local television Monday night.
