CAUTIONED: Fred Simugaya

SOUTHERN PROVINCE - RUHANGO - Residents of Ruhango district have been warned against engaging in activities that lead to crime in the district especially as the year comes to an end.

The caution was made by the District Police Commander, Superintendent Fred Simugaya during a security meeting held at the district headquarters recently.

Simugaya noted that Ruhango sector, which is the town center, has the biggest number of crimes ranging from petty theft, to violence and murder.

"In a range of one month, there have been at least nine reported cases of death of children and adults as a result of what amounts to be carelessness. Clearly this is alarming,” Simugaya said.

"Residents have to be more careful during the festive season.”
