IT was magical. It was mind-boggling. Meddy’s long awaited ‘Amayobera’ album launch  came to pass on Christmas-eve delivering more than what the fans expected to take with them home.

The show started late on a less promising note and the deejay Bissosso begun rolling the disks-thanks to the perfect music system. Underground talents ascended the podium dancing and new comers like Emmy and B-Loon raising the curtains.

The tangible party began when female rapper Paccy of the Ese Nzapfa fame was handed the mic and the already eager crowd started making some noise.

She did not let them down either doing three of her singles, though the DJ did not allow her to finish in style.

Young Junior came next with much confidence and a really cool design. The ‘Akon voiced’ brought life that was missing and every one started singing along and then the young performer Lil Ngabo totaled it up to fun.

‘Insanity’ seized stage when the Tough Gang brought their king Bull Dogg in the air with their shirts stripped off. No one could defy the flow however much they performed on a rather disorganized note. Lil G, the next performer did more of boring.

The ‘Just Family’ with their singles also did nothing to collect Lil G and neither did the Family Squad or the KGB. It was the new comers ‘Urbans Boys’ that restored fun, doing their song Sindinryarya unbelievably sending the crowds wild.

And ruckus rocked the fully-packed hall when the emcee Jado announced the name ‘Riderman’. The time had come for pushing seats back and going crank with the award-winning rapper.

Another rapper K8 Kavuyo showed up with less muscle doing his latest Asa Na bicye and Hood Inyunve. Not even did the company of Kitoko, doing the duo’s collabor save him this time.

The awaited moment came and at around 11:00 pm when Meddy ascended the dais. All that could be heard was ear-piecing screaming and boards banging when he did the wonder Amayobera in the company of perfect dance moves and perfect back dancers. He then set on relaxing and letting the cloud do the singing for his ‘Akaramata’ and ‘Ese Urambona’.

King James presented another amazing bit keeping the fans on the toes. Songster ‘The Ben’ ushered the ‘just-watching’ fans into Christmas day singing a few of less popular songs and then Zubeda  with Kamishi.

Host Meddy returned with his gospel song ‘Ungirira Ubuntu’ and his latest ‘Inkora mutima’. He went on introducing his mother and lastly did the long awaited ‘Mubwire’.

It was approaching 1:00 0’clock and the RnB star bid Merry Christmas to his fans and ended the super Amayobera album-launch gig.
