Volleyball teams wind up training

The senior and junior men’s national volleyball teams will today wind up their 12 day residential training camps with a friendly match between themselves at Amahoro indoor stadium. Kigali Volleyball Club coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva is handling the juniors, who have been camping in Butare and training at the National University of Rwanda court, while the seniors are under the charge of Former APR coach Jean Luc Ndayikengurukiye.

The senior and junior men’s national volleyball teams will today wind up their 12 day residential training camps with a friendly match between themselves at Amahoro indoor stadium.

Kigali Volleyball Club coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva is handling the juniors, who have been camping in Butare and training at the National University of Rwanda court, while the seniors are under the charge of Former APR coach Jean Luc Ndayikengurukiye.   

According to the Executive Secretary in the local volleyball federation Gertrude Kubwimana, the training camps were meant for the team to gel.

"We always organize these camps every year after the volleyball season has climaxed so that some new players can gel in to the team,” Kubwimana said.

The new volleyball season is scheduled to in mid February.
