Editor,

For the Vision2020 to be realized in Rwanda we need a society that has knowledge on its fingertips. That is why I am encouraged by the increased Internet usage due to the advancement of mobile Internet usage.

According to The New Times mobile Internet users on the MTN Rwanda and Rwandatel network has hit 112,000. That number doesn’t include those people that buy telephones everyday.

If it’s the government plans to increase access to internet to 4 million people in the next few years, then, with the involvement of the private sector, this shall be possible.

Every morning before I get out of bed I use my phone to read any emails. I might have to check the news and access my Facebook account.

That is what the future is all about; it’s about having all the information you need to make the decisions that improve your life. And this kind of mobile Internet connectivity gives you that kind of opportunity.
