NGO awards best performers

MUHANGA – François-Xavier Bagnoud International (FXB)  has awarded residents of Cyeza and Nyamabuye sector for their efforts to alleviate poverty in the community.Those rewarded included students and residents- who have been active in FXB-Muhanga Unit programs aimed at improving social welfare and poverty reduction in both sectors.

MUHANGA – François-Xavier Bagnoud International (FXB)  has awarded residents of Cyeza and Nyamabuye sector for their efforts to alleviate poverty in the community.
Those rewarded included students and residents- who have been active in FXB-Muhanga Unit programs aimed at improving social welfare and poverty reduction in both sectors.

They received assorted gifts and certificates for being exemplary beneficiaries and sharing resources amongst their respective communities.

The ceremony was held on December 21 at Muhanga stadium to mark the Beneficiaries Day and presided over by the FXB Country Director, Jean Damascène Ndayisaba.

Ndayisaba commended the residents for being proactive in poverty reduction and improving their social welfare. He urged them to become self reliant and disseminate the knowledge they have to others.

FXB-Muhanga coordinator, Azela Kamusine, revealed that 720 families in Muhanga district have been supported through various programs and the process has been a success due to the compliance of beneficiaries most of whom have put the funds into proper use.
