Fina Bank on Saturday donated an assortment of goods worth Rwf 0.7m to Karibu centre for orphans and vulnerable children in Kabarondo sector, Kayonza District.

The donation which included clothes, food, scholastic materials was handed over by Guillaume Munyakabanza, the Ngoma Fina Bank branch accountant during a function that was held at Karibu centre.

"Vulnerability and orphans can be history if every one can make it a habit to give the needy,” Munyakabanza said.

Denis Nsanzumuhire, the Director of Karibu Centre, said that parents have abandoned their responsibility of raising their children, leading to the increase in number of street children in the country.

Karibu centre for orphans and vulnerable children has close to 80 children from different parts of the country. It was established in 2002 and 120 children have since either returned home or found new families.
