In a press conference held yesterday, Rwandatel, the main organiser and sponsor of the event, confirmed that the Miss Rwanda will get grand prizes, including a brand new Vitara car, and professional sponsorship from international people.

Speaking at the conference, the Vice President of the Hooters of America, and International Speaker, Kat Cole from Atlanta, in United States promised professional support to Miss Rwanda.

"I’m honoured to participate in Miss Rwanda beauty pageant, and I promise my support to Miss Rwanda,” Cole said, "Miss Rwanda will definitely have a leadership role, thus needs a lot of awareness and public speaking skills.”

Cole added that all the 14 finalists are beautiful and have the potential to win.
Novelist, essayist, and playwright Elizabeth Dewberry, also from Atlanta, said that it has been a great opportunity for her as a novelist to participate in the event.

I’m planning to write a novel about Rwanda’s rebirth, beauty and development.” Dewberry said.

Dr Ronnie Michael Egwang, a.k.a Mitch, the guest master of ceremony for Miss Rwanda said "Rwanda is a place close to my heart.” "I was last here in 2005, but the country is totally incomparable to the one I visited five years ago.”

"It’s hard to find potholes, unlike in most countries.”

Rwandatel’s Chief Commercial Officer Francis Egbuson said that Rwandatel as the main organizer is committed to ensure that the event is successful, and the atmosphere is energetic.
