KARONGI – Traders in Karongi district have expressed uncertainty over the future of their business due to delays in the construction of a modern market in Kibuye town.

The market whose construction started in August last year, has not registered any progress causing concern among traders.

"We don’t know how long the construction of the market is going to take. To most us, it is just but a dream,” Janvier Karekezi, one of the concerned traders told The New Times yesterday.

Efforts to get a comment from Oreste Munyurangabo, the district director of infrastructure were futile. He was reported to be in a meeting.
