The 2025–2026 volleyball season serves off this weekend at Petit Stade. The action begins tonight with Kepler taking on APR in the men’s league at 8 p.m., following the women’s opener between REG and Kepler at 6 p.m.
Saturday’s lineup keeps the energy high. In the women’s league, RP Huye faces Police VC at 1 p.m., and RRA meets Ruhango VC at 3 p.m. On the men’s side, Police VC clashes with Kirehe VC at 11 a.m., while Gisagara VC rounds out the day against EAU Rwanda at 5 p.m.

Meet & Greet: Friends of Amstel
The Friends of Amstel weekend sets off with a meet and greet tonight, October 17, at Atelier du Vin, starting at 9 p.m. Expect an intimate evening with Rwanda’s finest — Bruce Melodie, Kivumbi King, and Mike Kayihura — alongside Kenya’s Bien-Aimé, Nigeria’s Dope Caesar, and Kigali’s own DJ Marnaud and DJ Toxxyk.
On Saturday, October 18, the energy shifts to Zaria Court for the main event. Beyond the music, it’s a space for connection. Whether you pull up with your crew or ride solo, the spirit of Amstel is all about shared moments.

Kigali Fit Hike
If you’d rather trade basslines for mountain air, Kigali Fit has you covered. This Saturday, October 18, join the "Ngagi Trail” hike — a moderate route that promises fresh views, light challenges, and good company.

Africa’s MMA League Semi-Finals: PFL
For the first time, Kigali hosts the semi-finals of the Professional Fighters League Africa 3 at BK Arena on Saturday, October 18. PFL is the continent’s first major MMA league where athletes compete in a full season, post-season, and championship, rather than year-round bouts.
This weekend’s fights mark the semifinals of the 2025 PFL Africa Tournament across heavyweight, welterweight, featherweight, and bantamweight divisions, making Rwanda the 15th country to host an event from the Professional Fighters League, formerly known as the World Series of Fighting.
Fans can catch 11 fights, with music by DJ Niny and Bruce Melodie to keep the energy high. Tickets are available at Rwf 3,000 for upper bowl, Rwf 15,000 lower bowl, with wheelchair-accessible seating.
Caravane du Rire: KGL Specials
If comedy is your weekend fuel, Caravane du Rire delivers with KGL Specials, a two-week laughter festival running October 16 to 31. The lineup brings some of Africa’s finest comedians, including Babu, Prince, Cotilda, Doug Mutai, Bappa Oumar, Kigingi, Rusine, Uncle Mo, Alain Esongo, Herve Kimenyi, and Muhinde.
Expect a vibrant mix of humor, culture, and storytelling that will keep you laughing from start to finish. Venues include Norrsken House Kigali on Friday, October 17, and the French Institute & Kigali Universe on October 23, 24, 30, and 31.

The Gospel Fundraising Concert
