RWANDA has moved up eight places to 102nd in this month’s Fifa rankings released yesterday in Zurich, Switzerland.

The results came after Rwanda finished second in the just concluded Cecafa Orange Challenge Cup in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Amavubi Stars lost 2-0 to Uganda Cranes in the final after reaching the final game unbeaten.

Uganda continues to lead the Cecafa region at 75th place followed by Kenya (98) and while Rwanda lies in third position.

Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions tops the continent and didn’t move any place thus remaining on 11th position in the world.

There was no change at the top, because only around 30 matches were taken into account for the final FIFA/Coca-Cola World ranking of the year thus Spain continuing to lead the way ahead of Brazil and the Netherlands.
