Rwanda v Burundi 3:30pm

SILVERBACKS Captain Benjamin Makombe cannot wait to take on the Burundian national team this afternoon when the two sides clash in the first leg of the Confederation of African rugby (CAR) Super 16 Zone tournament at Green hills playground in Nyarutarama.

The National rugby side has been training for the last 12 days, and the 22 year-old captain is optimistic that exerting too much pressure on the Burundians will break whatever resolve they have.

He said "our game plan is very simple- to put a lot of pressure on them (Burundi).

We have never lost to them in any competition, so we expect nothing short of a convincingly win.” the defender said.

Meanwhile the National Rugby federation has confirmed that Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) has sent a Kenyan referee Nicholas Gachoya to officiate the match.
