I take this opportunity to congratulate our national youthful side Amavubi Stars for reaching the finals of the 33rd Orange Cecafa Challenge Cup in Nairobi, Kenya.

These are our real Rwandan stars that have restored our pride following a disastrous performance in the just concluded 2010 Nations Cup qualifiers where Rwanda finished last in Group 3.

I therefore urge the Ministry of Sports and Culture as well as Rwanda Football Federation, Ferwafa, to maintain the same youthful squad for 2012 Nations’ Cup qualifiers.

We have the talents and it’s up to you sports administrators to exploit our own talent instead of relying on hefty and useless foreigner footballers who have deprived the country of her resources for the success of our national team.

Whether Amavubi Stars win or lose in the finals of Challenge Cup, they deserve a hero’s welcome.
