KIGALI Volleyball Club (KVC) head coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva has been tasked to assemble a formidable team to compete at next year’s U-20 Africa Volleyball championships.

Nsengiyumva, who guided KVC to this year’s Rutsindura Memorial tourney, will start work on Sunday.

The national volleyball federation (FRVB) has already named a provisional 20-man team to start residential training at Group Scolaire de Butare in Huye.

FRVB’s technical director Christian Hatumimana said that they had chosen Nsengiyumva due to his vast experience.
"He has been in the game for a very long time so his experience should come in handy,” the federation official said.

Meanwhile, APR’s Kenyan coach Paul Bitok will train the national junior women side which will also camp in Huye.
Training sessions will be held at the National University of Rwanda (UNR) gymnasium.
