IFC trains 15 tourism agents

Fifteen representatives of tour and travel agencies were recently awarded certificates after a six-day training that was sponsored by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

IFC in partnership with Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), have embarked on training Small and Medium scale Enterprises (SMEs) with an aim of strengthening their business skills for better quality services and products that will help them compete favourably.

At the award ceremony held at Serena Hotel in Kigali, the training coordinator, Etienne Ndatimana, disclosed that the participants had been trained in ownership and management, hiring staff and efficient organizational structures.

The training brought together tour operators and travel agencies from Jet, Easy, Gotta, and Thousand hills tour and travel agencies.

This training follows a similar one that, equipped 60 Small and medium enterprises with business plan writing skills.
