Editor,
I have read in your paper that members of the Lower Chamber of Parliament could soon adopt a standard dress code for legislators.

I hear the majority of MP’s supported a move to adopt an appropriate dress that suites the house.

Is it because they want to highlight the errors and inappropriate dress codes by the Members during sessions?

And so they want to establish a dressing code like it is with most parliaments elsewhere.

For sure, what kind of parliamentarian needs to be reminded about their dress codes?  Instead they should debate on important issues that make us compete with the rest of the world more especially in the EAC and Commonwealth.

I am sure most of them have not yet grasped those patent issues that affect us but now they are just distracted by mere dress codes. Seriously, it’s a shame.

At least MP Ezéchias Rwabuhihi’s concern is a little bit understandable when he says that, high performance is needed in the parliament in order to get closer to the public they are representing.
