Equity Market

Today no transactions were recorded on the Rwanda OTC market. The KCB shares remained at Rwf 160. At the end of the session, 8,515 shares were on offer and no buyers.

Tuesday on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), a total of 165,400 shares were traded.  KCB shares traded within the range of 20.50 Kshs (Rwf158) high and 20.00 Kshs (151Rwf) low and closed at 20.00 Kshs (154Rwf).

The NSE All share index went down - 0.27 points to close at 71.02.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market there was a turnover of Rwf 200,000 in one recorded transaction at Rwf 100.  At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
