PASSED TRIALS: Bagoole (L) is set to join DRCu2019s AS Vita after passing trials.

ATRACO playmaker Johnson Bagoole and SC Kiyovu defender Karim Nizigiyimana have passed trials with DRC top division side AS Vita.

The pair, which went through a vigorous two-week trial session, has now been included in AS Vita’s squad for pre-season training in Cameroon.

Although efforts to reach AS Vita’s head Coach Raoul Shungu proved futile, it is reported that officials from the DRC side will descend on Kigali sometime this month to finalise the move.

Shungu, who is still widely regarded as Rayon Sport’s most decorated coach is seeking to reinforce the Black Dolphins ahead of this year’s CAF Confederations Cup.

Bagoole, a former Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) player, spent three years with Atraco. During his time at the club, he won the 2008 national league title as well as 2009 Cecafa/Kagame Club Championship.

Meanwhile, Nizigiyimana, who joined SC Kiyovu from ten-time league champions APR has been rated as one of the best right backs in the country.
