President Paul Kagame arrived in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Friday, September 19, for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
He is expected to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Saturday for bilateral talks.

Kagame will begin with a visit to the Alley of Honor, the final resting place of Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev on Saturday. He will lay a wreath in his honor, according to the Office of the President.
He will also lay a wreath at the Victory Monument, commemorating the First and Second Karabakh Wars.
Later, President Kagame will be officially welcomed by President Aliyev at the Zugulba Presidential Palace.
The two leaders will hold a private one-on-one meeting before joining their delegations to witness the exchange of new agreements in areas of agriculture, education, air services, trade and public service delivery.
Following the signing of agreements, the Heads of State will deliver joint press statements and engage in bilateral talks with members of their respective delegations.
Kagame and Aliyev last met in Baku in November 2024, during the UN Climate Summit (COP29).
