Preparations for MTN Rwanda’s 6th ‘TUWUKATE Concert,’ are in full gear, as regional artists arrive in Kigali today.The concert will feature new music talents discovered during the 2009 Tusker Project Fame (TPF). Guest TPF performers, include Debarl, Ng’ang’alito (Kenya), Caroline (Uganda), and Illuminata (Tanzania). Rafiki, Tom Close, Kitoko, and Riderman, are also on the list of artists, who will grace the event.
Preparations for MTN Rwanda’s 6th ‘TUWUKATE Concert,’ are in full gear, as regional artists arrive in Kigali today.
The concert will feature new music talents discovered during the 2009 Tusker Project Fame (TPF).
Guest TPF performers, include Debarl, Ng’ang’alito (Kenya), Caroline (Uganda), and Illuminata (Tanzania). Rafiki, Tom Close, Kitoko, and Riderman, are also on the list of artists, who will grace the event.
According to MTN’s Brand and Sponsorship Manager Rachel Mulinde, the annual event is aimed at giving platform to local artists to showcase their talent, and give chance to Rwandans to witness their local artists perform live.
The visiting artists will host a press conference on Friday morning, before visiting Gisozi memorial site.
Therefore, after, they will also host talk shows on a number of selected FM Radio stations, and the listeners will have an opportunity to ask questions.
The concert will be held on Saturday December 5, 2 p.m at Amahoro Stadium. Tickets will be sold at the entrance, at Rfw2500 and Rfw5000 for VIP.
