Editor,

As a move to foster development, Rwanda’s impressive progress is attracting numerous investors east and west.
This sounds exciting for the layman and for those who are business minded.

In an article published yesterday, ‘Holland donates Rwf4.2bn for three development projects,’ the Dutch are saying they will sink Rwf4.2bn in three government projects.

Steadfast on visions and dreams of development, it’s difficult to understand how exactly these huge handouts of money will be put to use without being swindled.

When the article states in writing that, Rwanda-Netherland agreement, "will see the Dutch sink Rwf4.2bn,” then we should think twice.

In my opinion, the public gets the impression that there is advanced knowledge that the money will be wasted whatever the reason.

Sinking is not a positive adjective, and if that is the case it’s pretty worrying.
