100 residents get health insurance

MUHANGA – An American based organisation; Groundwork Opportunities (GO) has paid medical insurance (Mutuelle de santé) for 104 residents from Shyogwe, Cyeza and Nyamabuye sectors in Muhanga district.

MUHANGA – An American based organisation; Groundwork Opportunities (GO) has paid medical insurance (Mutuelle de santé) for 104 residents from Shyogwe, Cyeza and Nyamabuye sectors in Muhanga district.

The beneficiaries, who include 70 children and 34 women received the support after being selected by their respective village leaders as vulnerable.

Anita Murekatete, the organisation’s representative said, "The goal is to see these people smiling again after the challenges that they went through. We group them in cooperatives in order to help them engage in income generating activities.”

The NGO also offers counselling to genocide survivors.
