Equity Market This week recorded a turnover of Rwf 96,000 from 600 KCB shares traded in two transactions at the price of Rwf 160. The KCB shares remained at Rwf 160. At the end of the session, 8,815 shares were on offer and no buyers.

Equity Market

This week recorded a turnover of Rwf 96,000 from 600 KCB shares traded in two transactions at the price of Rwf 160. The KCB shares remained at Rwf 160. At the end of the session, 8,815 shares were on offer and no buyers.

On the Nairobi Stock Exchange, KCB shares traded in a slightly lower range this week compared to the previous week although the share price remained the same at the closing of business as last week.

KCB shares a hit low of 19.75 Kshs (Rwf151) on Tuesday and a high of 20.75 Kshs (Rwf159) to close at 20.00 Kshs (Rwf153) on Thursday.

The volumes continued to be low throughout the week.  At the close of business on Thursday, the NSE All share index rose 0.53 points to close at 72.08.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market no transactions were recorded.  At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
