RAYON Sport will not feature in the 2009/2010 national women league whose kick-off has been postponed to January.

Felicite Rwema, who is the overseer of the women league, told Times Sport that the Blues opted out due to meager resources.

"They have pulled out because of financial problems and we respect that,” she said.

This season, the local football federation is only providing transport to teams while the clubs have to cater for the other expenses.

It is also said reported that a new club-Rambura has registered for the new season.

The new campaign was supposed to start this Sunday but was pushed to January 17 after a consensus by all clubs.
AS Kigali are the defending champions after edging 2008 champions APR on goal difference.

Ten clubs will take part in the league: AS Kigali, APR, Musanze, Aspej, Inyemera, Rambura, Les Lioness, Rubavu, Bugesera and La Jeunesse.
