Defending league champions APR were a frustrated lot after yesterday’s stalemate against Electrogaz.

The military side, who moved to 10 points after yesterday’s point, dropped to second spot, two behind arch rivals Atraco who secured a 1-0 win over AS Kigali on Saturday.

Erik Paske’s side is now tied in second spot with bitter foes Rayon Sport-who thrashed Mukura 3-0 and Etincelles who were held to a 1-1 draw by Police.

Electrogaz managed by Abdu Mbarushimana is now fifth with five points after the fourth day of the national football league.

In the Northern Province, Musanze recorded their first victory of the season against Marines at Ruhengeri stadium.

The newly promoted side came off 2-1 winners thanks to strikes from Foster Habyarimana and Jonathan Banje.

Pappy Kamanzi scored the consolation goal for the visitors.
On Saturday, 2009 Kagame Cup and Peace Cup winners Atraco secured a hard fought win over a revamped AS Kigali side at Mumena stadium. Jean Lomami secured the game’s lone strike to maintain Sam Timbe’s good start.

The Blues meanwhile earned maximum points without kicking a ball after their opponents Mukura failed to turn up for the game at Nyamirambo stadium.

The Southern Province based club which is yet to win a game this season is struggling due to administrative and financial problems.

Kiyovu recorded a 2-0 win over hosts Amagaju in Nyamagabe. Joseph Kabagambe and Eric Serugaba brought scored the goals for Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s side.

Police forced a 1-all draw away to Etincelles at Umuganda stadium. This was Etincelles’ first draw of the season.
