City council offers lessons to Kenyan delegation

A delegation of 50 local government officials from Kenyan coastal county of Kilifi visited the Kigali City Council to share experiences with their Rwandan counterparts.

A delegation of 50 local government officials from Kenyan coastal county of Kilifi visited the Kigali City Council to share experiences with their Rwandan counterparts.

The delegation was briefed on the Kigali Master Plan which serves as a roadmap for the expansion of the city in the next 50 years.

The city plan provides centers for business, administration, residential areas, technology and other centers.

The delegation also visited the ministry of local government where they were briefed on the process of decentralization.

On Thursday, the delegation paid a visit to the umbrella organisation of commuter motorcyclists, Assetamorwa to familiarize themselves with the organisation’s development projects.
