Kigali, Rwanda, 01 September 2025: Liquid Intelligent Technologies (Liquid), a subsidiary of Cassava Technologies, has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to safeguarding Rwanda’s history with a US$100,000 donation to the Imbuto Foundation. This contribution continues the company’s decade-long pledge of US$1 million dedicated to honouring the memory of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Liquid’s annual support helps Rwanda’s national memorials preserve evidence and artifacts through advanced technology, while also strengthening documentation and research efforts. These initiatives ensure that both Rwandans and international visitors can engage with an authentic and lasting record of the country’s past.
"Protecting the memory of the genocide against the Tutsi is essential to our nation’s collective healing and resilience. At Liquid, we are committed to supporting the Government of Rwanda in strengthening memorial infrastructure and preserving historical records through technology and innovation. Beyond building Africa’s digital future, we take pride in safeguarding heritage and identity,” said the Executive Chairman of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Rwanda, Sam Nkusi.
This marks Liquid’s fourth consecutive annual contribution to the Imbuto Foundation, founded by Rwanda’s First Lady, Her Excellency, Jeannette Kagame. The initiative is part of a ten-year pledge made in partnership with the Foundation and the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement.
In addition to memorialisation, Liquid continues to support Rwanda’s digital transformation by providing free public internet in key locations nationwide. This ensures that students, entrepreneurs, and the wider community have access not only to digital opportunities but also to vital lessons from Rwanda’s history.
