Tanzania will take on Morocco in Dar es Salaam on Friday in their first-ever CHAN meeting. It is also Tanzania’s first game against North African opposition at the tournament.
Tanzania, playing their 11th CHAN match, come up against a Moroccan side that has been dominant against East African teams, though they suffered a 1-0 loss to Kenya earlier in this edition.

The clash pits Tanzania’s defensive strength, just one goal conceded, against Morocco’s attacking power, having scored eight goals, the most so far.
In the other quarterfinals, co-hosts Kenya face debutants Madagascar in Nairobi, while Uganda clash with defending champions Senegal on Saturday. Kenya, unbeaten against Southern African teams so far, meet Madagascar for the first time at CHAN. Uganda, who beat Senegal in 2022, hope to repeat the upset, while the holders aim to defend their crown.
