Sectors present performance contracts

Fifteen sectors that make up Nyamasheke district over the weekend presented their performance contracts before district authorities.

Among the achievements registered was the progress that has been made in the one cow per family programme and provision of proper accommodation facilities to the residents.

However, the executive secretaries from the sectors were called upon by district officials to strive hard and ensure provision of better services to the residents.

NGO donates to Umurenge SACCO

Murindi Japan One Love Project on Sunday donated Rwf 1  million to Umurenge SACCO programme in Kimihurura sector.
The sector leaders appreciated the donation that will cater for sector members who would not afford to pay a fee Rwf 5000 for membership.

Police in Nyamirambo sector are holding a woman who dumped her child into the pit latrine.

Julienne Uwimbazi a 26-year old and a mother of four from different husbands was caught by residents in Kabahizi cell in Nyarugenge district after they realized that the infant had been missing for a week.

Residents celebrate bio-gas

Residents of Jabana sector in Gasabo district on Sunday celebrated the benefits they have received ever since they started using bio-gas.

Claudine Nyinawagaga, the Gasabo mayor said that over 800 residents in the sector use bio-gas.
