EXPECTED TO ATTEND: Foreign Affairs Minister Rosemary Museminali

Having been recognized by the Ministry of Local Government in July, the Association of Ugandans in Rwanda (AUR) has set November 29 as the date for its official launch.

This was revealed by the association’s boss, Isa Bogere.
"We shall launch the association on November 29 at Hilltop hotel in Remera,” Bogere said in a telephone interview.

According to Bogere, the launch is expected to be graced by the Foreign Affairs Minister Rosemary Museminali, Minister for Local Government Christophe Bazivamo, the Ugandan Ambassador to Rwanda, Richard Kabonero and the Ugandan community in Rwanda.

"Many times, we have been told to identify ourselves whenever we try to implement the objectives of the association. This launch will create a national identification that will enable smooth operations,” Bogere noted.

He explained that the association not only aims at developing Ugandans in Rwanda, but also encouraging them to be part of implementing national policies.

He pointed out that Ugandans in Rwanda have been participating in the monthly communal work Umuganda and registering with the Health Insurance policy, Mutuelle de Santé.
