Equity Market This week recorded a turnover of Rwf 160,000 from 1000 KCB shares traded in one transaction at the price of Rwf 160. The KCB shares closed at Rwf 160; an increase of Rwf 7 from the previous week’s closing of Rwf 153.

Equity Market

This week recorded a turnover of Rwf 160,000 from 1000 KCB shares traded in one transaction at the price of Rwf 160. The KCB shares closed at Rwf 160; an increase of Rwf 7 from the previous week’s closing of Rwf 153.

At the end of the session, 9,415 shares were on offer and no buyers.

On the Nairobi Stock Exchange, KCB shares traded slightly higher this week compared to the previous week. The shares a low of 20.00 Kshs (Rwf153) and a high of 20.75 Kshs (Rwf159) to close at 20.25 Kshs (Rwf155) on Thursday.

The volumes continued to be low throughout the week.  At the close of business on Thursday, the NSE All share index rose 0.04 points to close at 68.41.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market no transactions were recorded.  At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
