AMAVUBI midfield king pins Jean Baptist Mugiraneza ‘Migi’ and Haruna Niyonzima have vowed to ‘fight till the last breath’ just to make sure Rwanda qualifies for the 2010 Africa Nations Cup in Angola.

Rwanda host Zambia’s Chipolopolo at Amahoro this afternoon with their work cut out for them, to win by a two-goal margin.

In 2004 when the likes of Olivier Karekezi, Jimmy Gatete and Hamad Ndikumana guided Rwanda to their debut Africa Nations Cup finals, Migi and Niyonzima were still uncapped but the youngsters, who have become regulars in the side are now craving to play in Africa’s biggest football showpiece.

The APR duo, which has recently been linked to Hertha Berlin and Cologne from the Germany Bundesliga, told Times Sport that it would be a great achievement for them, the team and Rwanda to qualify for next year’s CAN.

"Every African player dreams of playing in the Africa Nations Cup because it is the biggest football competition in Africa,” Migi noted.

"It is also a good avenue for players to showcase their talent since you have so many scouts from Europe, Asia, South America and Africa flocking the tournament,” Niyonzima added.

"It is true that Zambia has the advantage, and it is up to us to make the running.”

"We also call upon the fans to rally behind us throughout the 90 minutes.”
