Health Minister Dr. Richard Sezibera. His ministry says that Swine Flu is now under control.

Editor,

We are very pleased and grateful for your continuous efforts to cover and inform the public on the H1N1 outbreak.

However, we would like to clarify a statement made in your Monday edition dated 9 November 2009 concerning the outbreak of H1N1 in Muhanga district.

While it is true that there were confirmed cases of H1N1 in Muhanga district, it is not true that some of the confirmed cases (Americans) were taken to King Faisal for treatment, while other confirmed cases were taken to Kabgayi hospital as stated in your newspaper.

We wish to make it clear that all the confirmed cases were treated at their places of residence in Muhanga District.

No cases were treated or hospitalized at King Faisal or Kabgayi hospitals. No severe cases have been reported in Muhanga district, and all confirmed cases continue to show mild symptoms.
