The two sides will come to the field of play with contrasting fortunes, as Guinea is buoyed by an opening victory, while Uganda is trying to recover from a heavy 3-0 defeat against Algeria.

Uganda’s head coach Morley Byekwaso urged his side to look ahead, not dwell on the setback suffered against Algeria.

"I prefer not to talk about the past but to focus on what lies ahead. We know it will be a difficult game. We need to win to keep our hopes alive,” he said.

"Some of our players are still recovering from knocks, but we hope to have everyone available. When you are humiliated, it’s painful, but that’s part of football. I believe our fans will be with us tomorrow,” he added.
