Assia Cyiza, a well-known radio personality, has been appointed CEO of Royal FM. Her promotion comes just five months after she was named deputy CEO of the station in March.
This marks a significant milestone in her media career which spans than 13 years.
Cyiza launched her career in journalism in 2012 where she started at Radio Isango Star as a radio presenter before moving to Royal FM three years later, also as a presenter.
As a presenter, she hosted a talk show dubbed "AM to PM” which went on to become one of the most popular in town. She was later appointed chief news editor until March when she was named deputy CEO.
Cyiza is also one of the hosts of ‘Ishya’ another popular program that initially aired on Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) before transitioning to its YouTube channel. She co-hosts the show with former workmate Jeanne d’Arc Cyuzuzo, Michele Iradukunda of Rwanda Broadcasting Agency and Christella Mucyo Kago.
