RUSIZI- A commissioner from Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) urged business men from Rusizi district in the Western Province to always pay their taxes on time and avoid fraudulent tendencies.

Pierre Celestin Bumbakari, the Commissioner in charge of internal taxes, made the remarks yesterday while addressing over 400 business operators at a meeting organised by RRA.

"In order to develop this district and our country economically and socially I encourage every body in your respective capacities to always pay taxes on time and to avoid breaching rules and regulations that govern taxes,” Bumbakari said.

He also advised the business community to improve their customer care arguing that it would help them boost their business ratings and competitiveness especially at a time when the country is part of the East African Community.

Bumbakari further encouraged the traders to seek advice regarding taxes from their local RRA offices.
