Rwanda Premier League 2024/25 top scorer Umar Abba left Kigali on Wednesday, July 17, as move to the South Africa Betway Premier League beckons.
Times Sport can exclusively reveal that Bugesera FC have agreed terms with Polokwane City FC and the striker flew to South Africa on Wednesday from Kigali to finalized personal terms.
Abba, 24, netted 17 goals in the Rwanda Premier League last season to win the golden boot.
Bugesera FC are expecting to pocket around $200,000 (over Rwf 280 million) for Abba who has a year left on his contract.
Meanwhile, AS Kigali central midfielder Aime Ntirushwa has joined Musanze FC on a two-year contract.

Elsewhere, midfielder Abdallah Salim who twice got Amavubi call up has left Musanze FC and is close to joining Express FC in Uganda. Abdallah previously featured for FC Villa and Express SC.
Goalkeeper Daouda Baleri has also left Gasogi FC and is now training with Bugesera FC. The Cameroonian shot stopper is expected to fill the void left by Francois Habineza Fils who left for FC Midjtylland in Denmark for $50,000(Rwf70,000 million).
Forward Augustin Kaneza has also signed a fresh two-year deal and will stay at Bugesera FC until June 30, 2027.
Foreign Transfers
Veteran striker Quentin Rushenguziminega has signed a one-year deal with Swiss lower tier side FC Concordia LS.
Rushenguziminega spent 6 successful years at FC Echallens scoring 125 goals in 175 games in all competitions before moving to Concordia.
Attacking midfielder Doyle Kamari remains the hottest player of Rwandan origin in the foreign transfer window as he continues to attract a host of suitors. Aside Reading FC, Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers have all shown interest.
