Equity Market

This week Rwf76,500 from 500 KCB shares traded in one transaction at the price of Rwf153. The KCB shares closed at flat at Rwf 153. At the end of the session, 10,415 shares were on offer and no buyers.

On the Nairobi Stock Exchange, KCB shares hit a low of Ksh19.50 (Rwf148) and a high of Ksh20.00 (Rwf151) on Thursday and closed at Ksh19.80 (Rwf150), a slight decrease from the previous week’s closing price.

The volumes were also slightly lower compared to the previous week.

At the close of business on Thursday, the NSE All share index rose 0.19 points to close at 67.37.

The Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and the Uganda Securities Exchange did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market: On the bond market no transactions were recorded.

At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
