Rwanda international Rafael York has joined Swedish second tier side IK Oddevold on one-year deal.

York, 26, moved returns to European football after a short-term spell in the Egyptian Premier League with Zed FC. The winger had a torrid time at the club, playing just one league game before both parties parted ways.

Oddevold boss Mats Winblad said he was pleased with York’s move to his club and he is looking forward to seeing him make an impact at the club.

"We wanted to sign York last winter. He's a highly professional player with valuable experience and it feels good to have him," Oddevold sporting director Mats Winblad stated.

York has played for a number of clubs in Europe including VFL Bochum in Germany, as well as Sandvikens and Gefle IF in Sweden among others.
