NAIROBI — Uganda’s capital city Kampala leads in use of the internet which stands at 53 per cent. Nairobi and Arusha in Tanzania tie at 49 per cent followed by Dar-es-Salaam also in Tanzania with 31 per cent.

NAIROBI — Uganda’s capital city Kampala leads in use of the internet which stands at 53 per cent.

Nairobi and Arusha in Tanzania tie at 49 per cent followed by Dar-es-Salaam also in Tanzania with 31 per cent.

In Nairobi, 31 per cent of the population use the internet daily, 49 per cent weekly while 20 per cent use it often.

According to TNS Research International, the use of the internet has been increasing steadily and on average, 45 per cent of the residents in major urban areas in the region have used the internet.
